BookRiff™ isn't just for people who want to create their own books. It's also for people who are looking for something different in a book...perhaps a book that seems to have been created just for them.

Students, group travelers, book club members, and event participants often read bundles of materials that have been prepared for them. We've shown you how anyone can use BookRiff's Create A Riff section to lasso these unwieldy bundles into a neatly bound book. But that's just the beginning. When users make their Riffs public, anyone can purchase them on the Buy Riffs section of the site.

BookRiff's Buy Riffs section is where users can go to browse and purchase the repackaged content bundles we call Riffs.

Remember, when a user buys a Riff, they are selecting a user-created playlist of book content to purchase. This playlist might include published chapters, whole books, magazine articles, along with other written material uploaded and priced by a number of different BookRiff Creators, including the Riff Composer.

What do Riffs look like?

Riffs are paperback books with black and white interiors and four-colour covers, ranging in length from 48 to 740 pages. They will primarily be printed digitally by Lightning Source in the US and the UK within 48 hours of purchase.

How much do they cost?

The price of a Riff depends upon two factors:
  • The number of pages
  • The amount and price of the content included
As a baseline price, a 48-page Riff with free content will cost $5.49 before shipping.

Who can sell Riffs?

Anyone with an account who creates a Riff can make it available for purchase on the Buy Riffs section (as long as they are respecting the copyright of the works included). But only the owners of the content included in Riffs are paid when a Riff is purchased.
